I have spoken widely at Midwifery conferences and study days on a variety of topics including about the partnership between the Independent Midwives of Yorkshire and Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and the third stage of labour.
I enjoy sharing my experiences and the skills I have developed with student midwives and run a selection of study sessions aimed particularly at student and registered midwives including: Midwifery Through My Eyes, Optimising the Third Stage – when physiology needs management, Physiological Breech Birth, Unpicking ‘Risk’ – supporting women with complex needs, and intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) – the woman’s experience.
